BACKGROUND

In early 2025, we started a mid-life overhaul program for one of our key customers in the Netherlands. Our team is delivering a targeted retrofit solution that combines modern technology with proven, reliable components - ensuring operational continuity while optimizing lifecycle costs.

The project covers:

• 10 quay cranes
• 3 barge quay cranes

Focusing on braking and coupling systems for key crane movements, the project—now underway—is scheduled for completion in 2026.

SUMMARY

Upgrades in Progress:

• BUEL H Thruster
  Installation of new BUEL H thrusters to provide greater operational precision and improved adaptability to dynamic hoist demands.
• SB 28 and SB 8.1 Disc Brakes
  Replacement of key wear parts, including bushings, pins, and compression springs. Applying new protective coating to extend brake service life and durability.
• KBSD 190 Couplings
  Upgrading from KBT 19 couplings to KBSD 190 couplings, reducing maintenance time.
